Polyurethane mortar is what you specify when an epoxy floor would melt, blister or crack: hot oil spills, daily steam wash-down, dairy acids, chemical spillage, freeze-thaw cycling. Our 6–9 mm trowel-applied PU mortars are the bullet-proof option for Gulf food, dairy, chemical and pharma plants.

What's the difference between PU coating and PU mortar?

A PU coating is 0.3–1 mm thick — like a tough varnish. PU mortar is 6–9 mm trowelled or screed-applied with quartz aggregate, behaving like a heavy-duty industrial floor in itself. We use mortar for kitchens, dairies, bakeries; coatings only for light traffic over existing decks.

How long does PU mortar last in a UAE bakery?

Properly installed and maintained, 15–20 years is typical. We have UAE bakery floors from 2014 still in service with annual top-coat refresh.

How fast can a kitchen be back in service after PU mortar?

Standard PU mortar is foot-traffic ready in 24 hours. Fast-cure PMMA polyurethane systems bring the floor back into service in 4 hours — useful for cold rooms and 24/7 kitchens.

Is PU mortar slippery?

No — the standard texture is R11–R13, slip-rated for wet kitchens and food zones. We can broadcast extra aluminium-oxide for ramps.
